Minneapolis is gorgeous! So green! Pretty rivers! Today I worked at local coffee shop, had a lovely green tea latte, intrigued by the social justice oriented art shop next door but failed to explore.
We made dinner at home with the lovely Ruth and ended the night live-streaming a performance of old Christian songs ๐
but it was much more heartfelt and bonding than youโd expect.
It felt like a reclaiming of our childhoods, where we were subjected to singing these songs without a choice, because we did have a choice now and are able to disconnect our emotions from the music. It was also a reminder that itโs part of my culture and upbringing. To be able to relive the bits I loved (playing piano) with a newfound understanding of faith with people who understand was quite spiritual, to say the least ๐
